Dunedin train station |
Cadbury Chocolate factory
|
Cruise ships dock at Port Chambers which is about eight miles away from Dunedin. Port Chambers is an industrial port that has art and craft stores and a maritime museum. Hopefully your ship will provide some type of transportation to Dunedin if you decide to visit the city on your own.
Dunedin is an active city with historical sights including churches, art galleries, and museums. The Otago Museum focuses on Polynesian culture and history while the Early Settlers Museum details the history of colonial progress. The restored train station is a delight and a visit to the Cadberry factory is really interesting.
